Made it Monday!

Today, I'm honestly just thankful I "made it" out the door to take my kiddos to school. I'm on day two of antibiotics for sinus/ear infections, and I'm not feeling up to par, AT ALL.

Luckily, I was able to stay home today to let my body rest. And, while I'm sitting on my couch resting, I get to catch up on emails, lesson plans, blog hopping, and I have ALL THE TIME in the world to check out everyone else's MADE IT MONDAY!!!

And, here is my little version of this BOGGLE BOARD:

I used red painter's tape and taped off the 3X3 boggle board. This is for the beginning of the year with my First graders. As the year progresses, I'll change the board to 3X4, 4X4, and then 5X5.

I used my magnetic white board as the base, and then just used my magnetic alphabet letters. Currently I have the ABC's in a Ziploc bag hanging underneath the board. I want to make a cuter holder for them though!

Students look at the board and I either have them write down their words on a piece of paper, or I let them work with a partner and use our wipe off boards.

Now, on a non-school MADE IT moment, I also tried out a new recipe!

I'm going to show you the pictures from the actual recipe because, although mine tasted GREAT, it didn't look as good as this:

Because I've been so sick, I wanted something spicy to loosen up my sinuses. This recipe was PERFECT because it calls for honey, lime, and spices, all of which are good for sinuses and sore throats! Honestly, I'm a Chinese food lover, and this is the closest I've come to making a dish that tastes as good as a Chinese chicken dish! The site also gives you the Nutritional Values.
