More Classroom Signs and Class Improvements!

Ok, so I am now COMPLETELY obsessed with coming up with cute little sayings and signs for classrooms. I am mentoring a new First Grade teacher this year and her class theme is BUGS. I've been trying to do little things to help her prepare her classroom and get it looking visually appealing. So....this is a cute sign I made for her! What do you think?

I bought a cheap green frame from Target, then used puffballs to make the caterpillar. I used two googly eyes, and two strips of crinkled paper to make the cute little crawling accessory! :)

I hope she likes it! I am giving it to her as a little "ROOM-WARMING" gift next week.

If you have a BUGS theme and want this sign, you can download it here! (It does say "1st" grade at the bottom.)

Here is another sign I created. I think the saying is VERY appropriate for elementary classrooms (especially mine at times)! LOL
If you like it, you can click it to download it! Add a cute frame, and VOILA!

Now, as you all know, I'm REALLY obsessed  excited with changing my room to it's new WILD ANIMAL theme. Here is anothe little project I have finished!

I used gift bags in the wild animal print (found them at Hobby Lobby for $4.99 for a pack of 5), wild animal tissue paper (given to me by a friend), and printed MONTH labels.

I stuffed each bag with tissue, put a month label on the outside of the bag, and then stapled them to the wall for my BIRTHDAY WALL! I even found a cute WILD ZEBRA PRINT "Happy Birthday" banner to go with it!

I am going to get some of the little plastic card sticks that you see florists use in bouquets. Then I will stick the student's names with their birth date in the top fo their MONTH.

At first I had just red, blue, yellow, and green bags...THEN I spotted these!!!! SOOOOOO much better! It was a total fluke that I found them too! They were at the checkout and I just happened to see them as I was leaving Hobby Lobby. I love when things like that happen!

AND remember!! GIVEAWAY info coming TOMORROW!!!! It's gonna be a big one! :)

  1. I LOVE your birthday wall! I'm trying to think of where I could put that! I seriously doubt they have "monster" themed bags. Maybe I could get the little treat gift bags in the colors of my room (same as my blog), then print those monsters from my blog onto sticker paper and decorate. Do you think that would work? I really want to do this haha!

Also, my room is notorious around the school for being messy. I have spent lots of time already this summer organizing it, but I am totally going to use that sign you shared! Thanks!

  2. Cherie, I would check Target, Walmart, Party City....they actually may have some cute monster bags. BUT, if not, I think your idea of the colorgul bags with the monster stickers would be absolutely adorable!

I'm glad you could use the sign! I think a lot of us probably can! LOL

Let me know how your Birthday wall turns out!

  8. Your birthday wall is total cuteness! I love this idea! I also love your mess sign - I always say my teaching style is "controlled chaos" - sometimes we get noisy and messy but we are learning!
